Hey there, I’m Shawn Jain. I’m an actor and communications professional.
I recently received my master's degree in acting at the American Repertory Theater / Moscow Art Theater School Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University. I am based in New York City.
Prior to entering grad school, I lived in Washington, D.C. for four years, where I received my certificate from the Honors Acting Conservatory at the Theatre Lab School of the Dramatic Arts. I had the privilege to act in productions with Constellation Theatre Company, Rorschach Theatre, Theatre Du Jour, the Source Festival, and Young Playwrights Theater.
Before changing paths to pursue acting full-time, I had a 7-year career in mainly nonprofit marketing, communications, and advocacy. My most recent position was as Director of Communications at Whitman-Walker Health, Washington, D.C.’s leading LGBT health center. I also worked as a Media Strategist at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
I received my B.A. with Highest Honors in Political Science, Spanish, and South Asian Studies from UC Berkeley.
